Milford Track Highlights

Finally, the third week of our trip was a "luxury hike" through Fiordland National Park, with some of the best scenery of my life. "Luxury hike" means that each day, we'd hike around 10 miles to a lodge where we'd have hot showers, delicious meals, and a comfy bed, as opposed to the independent hikers who made do with packing their own ramen, pots, and sleeping gear.

Favorite pics and video:

Waterfalls on every side.

My current desktop.

Fording a creek.

Mountain lilies backdropped by a valley.

Top of MacKinnon Pass - the best view of my life so far.

Mackay Falls.

Waterfalls surrounding our trail. See a video.

Notable foods:
Salmon rillete
Rack of lamb
Chocolate lava cake

All albums:
Day 1 - Glade House
Day 2 - Pomplona Lodge
Day 3 - MacKinnon Pass
Day 4 - Mitre Peak
Day 5 - Milford Sound
